Important reminders for Advisors:

  • Media Release Forms: ALL students MUST have a form on file with us. These should be signed by both parents and delegates. These must be mailed or faxed for us to receive them by October 28, 2010.

  • Delegate Information Form: This form will contain the names and assignments for all of your delegates. It must also include the first and last names of all adults attending the conference. This form is due (by fax, mail or email) to UNA-GB by October 28, 2010.

  • Position Papers:

    • Position papers are due to UNA-GB by November 12. Please email papers (as individual documents) to Alternately, you can send them by mail or fax to our office.

    • Tips about Position Papers are included in the Preparation Guide for Advisors.

    • We recommend students bring along a copy of their position papers for reference at the conference.

  • All adults attending the conference (i.e. Advisors and Chaperones) must be registered with the conference and wearing a nametag. Any adults expected to attend the conference must be listed on the Delegate Information Form (available above).

  • Driving directions and notes about parking are on page 4 of the Preparation Guide for Advisors. As noted, the Renaissance garage should be useful - parking on Saturday is $6 or $7. Please look in the Advisor's guide for directions and notes about other parking options.

  • Lunch will be provided and will include pizza and salad. Snacks will also be provided during the committee sessions. Students with food allergies may bring their own lunch. Students will not be permitted to leave the conference space to purchase other food. Please note that lunch is only meal that will be provided to all delegates.

  • Laptops are permitted at the conference, cell phones are not. We recommend delegations bring a USB flashdrive for their own use in case the WiFi is not available. Responsible use of internet while at conference is expected.

  • Dress code information for the conference is available in the Advisor and Delegate Handbooks. Please be sure sure to review this with your students.

  • Flu: We are all aware that flu can pose a risk to our delegates and that the conference offers the chance for students - and germs - from different communities to interact. As such, UNA-GB asks that you ensure that any student of yours who showing signs of flu not attend the conference. We understand that this will be a great disappointment for some and will try to offer another Model UN opportunity for those students later in the year. For the protection of all delegates, it is critical delegates be counseled on this issue. We are grateful for you help with this matter.
